In the evening's last warmth, Miven took the path past Hammerfall. From Boulderfist Ogres to Witherbark Trolls, Miven met 5 kinds of trouble in 7 fights. A fight against a Highland Raptor, a Mountain Lion and a Syndicate Thief at once left Miven breathing hard. Every fight went Miven's way. Romi Thoka and Dormi Ulka traded with Miven on the way. Dormi Ulka challenged Miven to a duel, all in good sport.
Miven gave the afternoon to the land around Hammerfall. 3 fights, quick ones, and then the road was empty. A Dwarf Hunter of the other side crossed the road, and only one walked away. Miven saw Romi Thoka at work nearby. Miven caught sight of Armi Taro along the way. Miven stopped long enough to take a picture: the shore. Miven stayed at level 39, a little closer to the next. 2 h 57 min later, Miven was back at Hammerfall and glad of it.
As evening fell over Arathi Highlands, Miven went out from Hammerfall. 4 fights against all comers, Highland Raptors and Syndicate Thieves the most of them. The enemy came too: a Night Elf Priest, met blade to blade. Nobody to share the spoils with, nor the danger. Plans: Golden Scale Gauntlets came out of the fighting, and went straight into the bags. Level 40 at last, with all it brings.
Miven spent the morning beyond Hammerfall. A gentle outing, 3 fights and no more. Among the spoils: Witchdoctor's Dress. No new level, though not for lack of trying. A long outing, 2 h 08 min in all.
An idle afternoon in Hammerfall did not last; Miven went out to work. Miven lost count of the kinds of foe somewhere past the Syndicate Thieves; 6 fights in all. At one point 2 Syndicate Thieves and 2 Boulderfist Ogres rushed in at once; it was a near thing. Tami Arka, Garro Saka and Ismi Venro joined the hunt, and the work went faster for it. The afternoon heat of Tanaris did not slow Miven. A crowded country: Sandfury Trolls, Scorpid Hunters, Silithid Searchers and more across 4 fights. Caliph Scorpidsting was the tale of the day: a name the camp at Gadgetzan knew well. Tami Arka stopped to trade goods with Miven. The bags were heavier by Shrapnel Blaster. Barely 51 minutes before Miven called it.
In the small hours Miven slipped out of Gadgetzan while Tanaris slept. Every hollow held something new: Sandfury Trolls here, Wastewander Bandits there, 5 fights in the end. Miven pulled 2 Wastewander Bandits and a Wastewander Rogue at once, on purpose or not, and won anyway. Miven saw no friendly face all the while. The glow of level 42 came in the middle of a fight.
The long afternoon stretched ahead as Miven struck out from Gadgetzan. 5 kinds of foe and 7 fights; the Silithid Searchers were the most stubborn. Once a Sandfury Troll, a Scorpid Hunter and a Wastewander Bandit came at Miven together, and Miven stood firm. It went badly once: Miven fell to a Wastewander Rogue, and made the long walk back from the spirit healer. Miven crossed blades with Dormi Ulka in a duel, for the fun of it. Mimi Nelka passed by on the same road. A fallen foe gave up Shawarmageddon. Miven stayed at level 42, a little closer to the next. Brief, 1 h 11 min all told.
Long past midnight, Miven took the road out of Gadgetzan. 5 kinds of foe and 6 fights; the Wastewander Rogues were the most stubborn. In contested land, a Night Elf Priest picked the wrong fight with Miven. Dormi Ulka and Venmi Iska watched Miven's back, and Miven watched theirs. A fallen foe gave up Cuergo's Hidden Treasure.
