Homerealm in your game
Version 0.20.3: the version you have shows beside Homerealm's name when you point at it in the game's AddOns list, and at the top of its page in the game's Options (or type /homerealm about).
What Homerealm keeps
While you play, Homerealm writes down your journey: when you play and for how long, the zones and places you go, your path on each map, your level as it rises and your time played. It keeps your character as the game shows it: name, surname, realm, race, body, class, level, guild and the gear you wear, and the spells you cast and wear, as the game describes them. When you raise your banner, it notes the Battle.net BattleTag your game is logged in with, so the website can ask Battle.net that the character is yours.
The people you meet
It notes the players you see, target, group and trade with: their name, class, level and guild, the gear they wear when you stand near them, and when you met. It shows on a player's tooltip when you last grouped or traded with them.
Your fights and photos
It turns on the game's own fight record, which the game writes on your computer while you play, so your page can show the fights you fought and what you fought. Its camera takes a picture only when you press its button or key, and keeps where, when and with whom.
Why
So your character's page on the Homerealm website can show your journey: the map of where you went, your fights, the people you played with, your gear on your figure and your photo album. Nothing here speaks in chat, joins groups or plays for you.
How to say no
Stop the fight record: untick the box below, or type /homerealm combatlog off (/homerealm combatlog on starts it again). Stop Homerealm altogether: at character select, open AddOns and untick Homerealm. Hide a character of yours from the website: log in there and open Your characters, or with no account ask on its Hide page; anyone can ask for a character to be hidden there.
Hide a character
Your characters: hide one of yours once you log in. The Hide page: ask for any character to be hidden, with no account.
What changed
0.20.3 19 October 2026
- /homerealm update names Homerealm on this PC as what puts a new version on disk, as the banner does.
0.20.2 19 October 2026
- On a realm whose region the game does not name, the banner's line ends at the realm.
0.20.1 19 October 2026
- Raise my banner works on Forever's beta realms, which name no region: the banner keeps what the game says, and your region comes the same way as for everything else Homerealm keeps.
- When the banner cannot be raised, it says what the game did not name.
0.20.0 19 October 2026
- Your banner says what became of it: Claimed, or Waiting for Battle.net, or that Homerealm on this PC has not answered yet.
- A later character of an account whose banner already flies is greeted, not asked again: "Your banner already flies over Homerealm", and it joins your Home without a click.
0.19.0 18 October 2026
- Raise my banner: at a character's first login, or at /homerealm banner, a banner names the character and the Battle.net account your game is logged in with. One click claims it: the interface reloads and your browser opens on the character's page, where Battle.net confirms once that the account is yours, and every character on it joins your Home.
- Not now puts the banner away for that character; in a fight the button waits until you leave combat.
- The page in Options says that a raised banner notes your BattleTag.
0.18.0 18 October 2026
- Your page now says the rules of your realm: Hardcore as the game itself knows it, and the realm by its number.
0.17.0 18 October 2026
- A page of its own in the game's Options, under AddOns, and at /homerealm about: what Homerealm keeps, why, and how to say no.
- On that page, a box to turn the game's fight record off or back on.
- /homerealm alone now names the version you have.
0.16.0 18 October 2026
- For testers only: a small button you can drag anywhere reloads the interface to load a new Homerealm, and names the version loaded.
0.15.0 18 October 2026
- Photos: Enter or Space takes the photo while you frame it, and Escape puts the camera away.
0.14.0 18 October 2026
- When a newer Homerealm is ready on your computer, the game's own dialog offers the reload that loads it.
0.13.0 18 October 2026
- Photos as a camera: golden ratio guides to frame the shot, a clean picture without the interface or the world's floating text, a flash, and a card with the place and who is there.
0.12.0 18 October 2026
- Photos: the camera button or your key counts 3, 2, 1 and takes a picture, and keeps where, when and with whom.
0.11.0 18 October 2026
- Notes the game's version with each item and spell, so a new game version's changes are read again.
0.10.0 18 October 2026
- Keeps each map you are on, so your path can be drawn on it.
0.9.0 18 October 2026
- Keeps every spell you cast or wear, as the game describes it.
0.8.0 18 October 2026
- Keeps every item as the game's tooltip shows it.
0.7.1 18 October 2026
- Keeps your race and body, so your figure is drawn as you look.
0.7.0 18 October 2026
- Its own icon and group in the AddOns list, and your home region by name.
0.6.0 18 October 2026
- Keeps the gear you wear, and the gear of the players you meet when you stand near them.
0.5.0 18 October 2026
- Turns on the game's advanced fight detail before the fight record, so each fight says where it happened.
0.4.0 18 October 2026
- A Homerealm line on a player's tooltip: when you last grouped or traded with them.
0.3.0 18 October 2026
- Turns on the game's fight record at login; /homerealm combatlog off says no.
0.2.0 18 October 2026
- Keeps each time you play with your home region.
0.1.0 18 October 2026
- The first Homerealm: each time you play, the zones you visit, your level and time played, and the players you see, target, group and trade with.
