Terms of service
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Homerealm when you use Homerealm in your game, the Homerealm app on your computer, or this website. They are written to be read. The Privacy notice says what Homerealm keeps about you and the rights you have.
Who we are
Homerealm is run from New Zealand. "We" and "us" in these terms mean the people who run Homerealm. You can reach us at help@homerealm.gg.
By installing Homerealm, making a Home on this website or paying for yearly keeping, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Homerealm.
Homerealm is independent of Blizzard
World of Warcraft and Battle.net are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment. Homerealm is made by players. It is independent, and it is not made, endorsed, sponsored or supported by Blizzard Entertainment.
Your use of World of Warcraft and Battle.net is governed by Blizzard's own agreements. Homerealm does not change them, and nothing in Homerealm gives you any right in Blizzard's games. Please do not use Homerealm in a way those agreements forbid.
What is free
Homerealm in your game, the Homerealm app and its updates, making a Home, signing in, claiming your characters, and the website's pages of the game's items, spells, creatures, zones and talents are free.
Paying never changes what Homerealm does in your game or what the Homerealm app does on your computer: they are the same for everyone.
Your history, and what each plan shows
Homerealm keeps your characters' history, every journey, fight, meeting and picture, for as long as Homerealm runs, whatever plan you are on. Your plan decides what the website shows you:
- Free: your last 90 days in full, and the milestones of all your time.
- Yearly keeping: your whole history, for every character on your Home, for a year from the day you pay.
If a year of keeping ends and is not renewed, nothing is taken away: your pages go back to what the free plan shows, and your whole history shows again when you renew.
Paying for yearly keeping
The price of a year, any first-year offer and the taxes included are shown before you pay. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your card number.
A year of keeping starts the day your payment goes through and covers every character on your Home.
Renewal
We remind you by e-mail at least 14 days before your year ends, with the price of the next year.
If you chose to renew automatically, we take the next year's payment on the day your year ends, at the price in that reminder. Otherwise your year simply ends unless you pay again.
If the price changes, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you, and you can stop renewal before then.
Cancelling, and refunds
You can turn off automatic renewal at any time from your Home, or by writing to us. Your year of keeping continues to its end.
Within 14 days of any payment, you can ask for all of it back, for any reason, and we refund it in full.
If we stop paid keeping, or it has to stop because of a change by Blizzard, the game or a platform, we refund the unused part of your year, counted by days, to the card you paid with.
Otherwise a year you have paid for is not refunded part-way through, except where the law where you live says it must be.
Homerealm may change or stop
Homerealm depends on things we do not control: World of Warcraft and what it lets Homerealm do, Blizzard's rules and decisions, Battle.net, Windows and macOS, and the companies that carry the website and take payments. If any of them changes, Homerealm may have to change, lose a part, or stop, in some places or everywhere, sometimes without warning.
We may also change Homerealm ourselves, or stop it. Where we can, we tell you at least 30 days ahead by e-mail and on the website.
If paid keeping stops, the refund in the clause above applies.
Our liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from Homerealm changing, losing a part or stopping because of World of Warcraft, Blizzard, Battle.net or a platform, or from anything else outside our reasonable control.
As far as the law allows, Homerealm is provided as it is, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits what the law does not allow to be limited, including your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986 in New Zealand, or the consumer law of the country where you live.
Your journey is yours
Your journeys and your pictures stay yours. You let us keep them and show them: to you, to people you share them with, and, where another player met you in the game, as a fact on their page once two players' games agree on it. This permission lasts as long as Homerealm keeps them.
Do not put anything into Homerealm that is not yours to share, or that breaks the law.
Using Homerealm fairly
Please do not use Homerealm to harass anyone, to pretend to be someone else, to claim characters that are not yours, to interfere with Homerealm or other players, or to break any law. If you do, we may hide what you put in, or close your Home. Unless the matter is serious or urgent, we tell you first and give you the chance to answer.
Age
You must be at least 13 to use Homerealm. Where the law of your country sets an older age for agreeing to these terms or to the use of your information, you need a parent's or guardian's agreement until you reach it.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We tell you by e-mail and on the website at least 30 days before a change that affects you takes effect. If you keep using Homerealm after that, the new terms apply; if you do not agree, you can stop, and the refund rules above apply to any year you have paid for.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of New Zealand, and the courts of New Zealand can hear any dispute about them.
If you live outside New Zealand, you keep the protection of the consumer law of the country where you live that cannot be set aside by agreement, and where that law allows, you can bring a claim in your own country's courts.
Before going to court, please write to us at help@homerealm.gg: most problems are solved by a reply.
