Answers to what players ask most. Search, or ask us below.

How do I install Homerealm on Windows?

On the home page, press Install for Windows and open the file it gives you. Or open PowerShell and paste this line, then press Enter:

irm https://homerealm.gg/install.ps1 | iex

It finds World of Warcraft on your computer, adds the Homerealm add-on to the game and starts the Homerealm app, which sends your journey to your Home and keeps the add-on up to date by itself. It never asks for a password or for an administrator, and it shows each step as it goes. Then start the game, or type /reload if it is already open.

How do I install Homerealm on a Mac?

On the home page, press Install for macOS, open the zip and then Homerealm Installer. Or open Terminal and paste this line, then press Enter:

curl -fsSL https://homerealm.gg/install.sh | sh

If your Mac says it cannot check the installer, right-click it, choose Open, then Open again. It never asks for your password. Then start the game, or type /reload if it is already open.

What does Homerealm record?

In your game, the add-on writes down your journey: each time you play, the zones you enter, your level and time played, the players you see, target, group and trade with, the gear you and they wear, your fights from the game's own fight record, and the photos you take with Homerealm. The Homerealm app sends it to your account on homerealm.gg, with every picture the game saves in its Screenshots folder.

Your pages are yours alone until you share them. The in-game page, Homerealm in the game, says what it keeps and why, and how to turn the fight record off.

What does Homerealm never do?

It never asks for or sees your Battle.net password: you sign in on Blizzard's own page. It never reads your chat or whispers, never plays or presses anything for you, never changes the game's own files, and never needs an administrator on your computer. It never sells your journey, and it never shows your pages to anyone unless you share them. The privacy notice says the rest.

How do I claim my character?

In the game, at your character's first login, Homerealm shows Claim your character. You can also find it on Homerealm's page in the game's Options (AddOns), or type /homerealm claim.

Press it once: the game reloads, and your browser opens on Battle.net's own sign-in, which confirms the character is yours. Homerealm never sees your password. Every character on that Battle.net account then joins your account.

What does Keep off Homerealm do?

Keep off Homerealm, under Your characters, hides a character you don't want shown: its page and everything about it on other players' pages, from then on. It does not stop your own recording: Homerealm in your game keeps recording either way.

What does Put away do?

Put away, on Your account, takes a character out of your account: it leaves your lists and its page at once. Nothing of it is deleted when you do, and you can bring it back with one click for 30 days; after that it stays put away, and Homerealm may delete it. The terms say when.

It is not Keep off Homerealm, which hides a character from other players' pages.

What can I see for free?

Free: the last 30 days of your history, counted back from today. Older history leaves your view, and it may be deleted at any time.

Keeping your history shows all of it, for every character on your account, while a paid year runs. The terms say it in full.

How do I uninstall Homerealm?

On Windows, open Settings, then Apps, then Installed apps, find Homerealm and choose Uninstall. On a Mac, open Uninstall Homerealm from the zip you installed with.

This stops the Homerealm app and removes it, its settings and the add-on's folders from the game. Your other add-ons stay. Your history on homerealm.gg stays; to have it deleted, ask us, as the privacy notice says.

The install stopped or said something went wrong

Run the same line again: it skips whatever is already done and goes on. If it says it cannot find World of Warcraft, start the game once, close it and try again.

If it still stops, copy the last lines it printed and send them to us with the form below: they tell us what happened.

Nothing new arrives on my page

The Homerealm app sends your journey after you play: when you log out or reload, and while it runs at your computer's sign-in. Make sure it is running: restarting your computer starts it, and running the install line again starts it too. Your newest play appears within a minute or two of being sent.

Your computers, on homerealm.gg, lists the computers Homerealm is installed on for your Home.

I can't see Homerealm in the game

At the character screen, open AddOns and make sure Homerealm is ticked. If the game says it is out of date, tick Load out of date AddOns. In the game, /homerealm about opens its page and shows its version.

When the app puts a newer version in place, the game offers Reload now: one press loads it.

Where did my photo go?

A photo you take with Homerealm (your key under Key Bindings, Homerealm, or Take a photo on its page) is saved in the game's Screenshots folder, and the Homerealm app sends it to your Home. It appears in your character's album once it has been sent, usually within a minute.

Why does a page wait after I sign in?

The first time you sign in, Homerealm gathers what your app has sent. Your page shows at once and fills in as your journey arrives: give it a moment.
